Spent the day working on installing the forward windshield attach hardware. I want to keep the glareshield removable. I'm using nutserts for retaining hardware.
One flange of the glareshield attach strap F13-05 has 8-32 nutserts for the glareshield. The other flange is riveted to the upper firewall.
The windshield strap attaches to the top of the upper firewall. When in place it is above the glareshield screws, making it a problem to get them in and out easily. I started working out how to make the windshield strap removable. More nutserts to be installed there
